With a background in arable farming, Philip Walker established his grain drying and storage business in 1986, on the site of a disused farmstead and petrol station near Fridaythorpe. It was the first service of its kind for farmers in the region. The company initially used storage capacity at local farms until, in 1990, large stores were constructed at Fridaythorpe, providing dry, ventilated storage space for up to 20,000 tonnes of grain.
Investment continues apace, with a new 11,000-tonne capacity facility at Pocklington which was completed in July 2012 with a further 15,000 tonne store added in July 2013.
